If there were a quick and easy way to have flat abs, we would all have them. It isn't easy, and how long it takes will depend on how much your body likes to store fat around the abdomen. That's the first step to having flatter abs, get your body fat down. We can do this by increasing the calories we burn (aerobic exercise) and decreasing the calories we consume. The less fat you have, the flatter your abs, and the smaller your waist. When there is less than an inch of fat covering your middle, you will start to see your muscles ie. your six pack. Doing crunches, bicycles, planks, work on a stability ball, etc. all help to tone the muscles and as a bonus, they will give you a stronger core!

I have been seeing ads, magazine articles, DVDs, and info-mercials claiming that one can flatten one's abs quickly and of course easily. What can one do to flatten abs and perhaps even whittle one's waist?
